Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy ® – Hands On Health the Maya Way

November 10, 2018

9am – 6pm

Tucson, AZ

Hands on Health is a workshop designed for anyone seeking to improve personal health and wellness. It is a nurturing time to focus on your own digestive and reproductive health concerns such as painful or irregular periods, PMS, fibroids, fertility, difficult menopause, postpartum, post-cesarean or hysterectomy scarring, constipation, IBS, indigestion, bladder infections, incontinence, or swollen prostate. This course is designed to educate and empower you to use your own two hands to help yourself. You will learn self care techniques that are founded on the ancient Maya method of abdominal massage.

Hands on Health provides you with an overview of Maya traditional healing, fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of the abdominal/pelvic organs, demonstration of the massage technique and a group practice of self care massage. Rainforest herbs and other Maya healing modalities will be introduced.

This one day workshop is an introductory class and no prior training is required. You will learn to perform the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy ® on yourself only. It is not intended to prepare you to apply this technique professionally, nor does it qualify as prerequisite for Professional Training – Level 2.

Class fee is $125USD. Early bird fee is $100USD if registered by September 29, 2018. Fee includes tuition, hand-outs, organic snacks and teas. Please bring a lunch to enjoy on site during the lunch break.
*Abigail will be available November 11th at the same location for private Arvigo® sessions, Maya spiritual healing and herbal pelvic steams. You do not need to have attended the workshop to schedule a private session. Please contact Abigail directly with questions or to arrange your session: ar@rebirthmidwifery.com or 415.716.3500.
Continuing Ed Credits: Continuing Education credits are given for massage therapists and acupuncturists. Massage therapists earn 7 CEU hours through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).

Tuition includes hand-outs and organic gluten-free snacks/tea.

**Note that parts of the massage cannot be done with an IUD, and is modified during menstruation and the first trimester of pregnancy.
